Also ich habe das Game schon ziemlich lange bei mir zu Haus ( ca. 3 wochen/Deutsche ver.) und ich muß sagen, ...eiße ist das Game verbugt. Hier eineige BUGS die mir aufgefallen sind.

-Man wird von unsichtbaren Gegnern angeschossen
-Missionen lassen sich nicht zu ende spielen
-Autos verschwinden einfach
-Das eigen Auto ist am abgestellten Platz nicht mehr da, wenn man z.B.
eine Mission spielt und irgendwo anders hin muß und zurück zu Wagen geht
-Passanten laufen durch Wände
-Passanten bleiben einfach vor dem Auto stehen, trotz Hupen
-Autos stehen halb in der Wand
-Die Leichen schweben leicht über den Boden
-Manche Leichen bleiben das ganze Spiel über da
-Manche schnellspeicherstände können nicht mehr geladen werden

So, das war ein kleiner Auszug davon, was mir wiederfahren ist.

Wie kann ATARI, im Prinzip ein geiles Game, so kaputt machen. Die Anforderungen von Rechner, die Bugs, das alles ist unter aller SAU!!!

ich habe versucht, das mädchen am bankschalter zum essen einzuladen, aber sie will wohl nicht. sie ist zwar freundlich, wenn man ihr einen blumenstrauss gibt, vertröstet einen aber auf "nächste woche", d.h. man kriegt sie bestimmt nie.

Angequatscht hab ich die auch schon, ohne Erfolg. Vielleicht musst Du ihr was anderes besorgen um sie rumzukriegen, gibts denn da keinen Juwelier oder sowas? Das mögen doch (fast) alle Frauen. Kann doch nicht sein das man da keine Frau flachlegen kann!

Ein Großteil der Bugs soll mit dem Patch behoben werden. Dieser soll übrigens morgen, spätestens Montag erscheinen.

Naja ansonst ist das Spiel aber geil..... und es dauert sehr lange zum glück!!!

zu 5: dafür brauchst du ein "how-to-do"-Buch(?) und 500 Pesos
das buch bekommst du im spielverlauf automatisch

BOILING POINT – PATCH 1 INFORMATION



TEXT

No more text message remains onscreen after a phone call.

Enemy declaration messages are now opportunely displayed.

Hint messages are displayed on time.



MISSIONS

CIA Faction : missions are no more rewarded when not accomplished by Saul.

Suicide guy mission : once Saul fails this mission, it disappears from the mission list.

Minor problems which led to impossibility to complete some missions are now solved.





GRAPHIC

Graphical issues during the character's death animation scene or NPC's animation in cities have been fixed.



SOUND

Minor sound issues such as voiceover looping are fixed.



CAMERA

Minor camera issues which were noticed during the tests have been fixed.



CAR

Problem of user's car which rarely remains stuck in the environment or which location was not properly displayed on the minimap are solved.



Option do properly display for any taxi mission.



LOC

Localization : mismatch issues have been fixed.



MINOR ISSUES

Police station cannot be destroyed by a crossbow anymore.

When Saul drops one item, only this item disappears from his inventory.



IMPROVMENTS



Crashes : some rare crashes (hardly reproducable) were noticed throughout the game, and especillay when loading the quicksaves. This has been improved a lot with the patch as no crash occured.



AI : NPC's behaviour has been improved in this patch version. Some examples are as follows : NPC now avoid obstacles when moving, reply when being shot at, animation and position are correct.

Installation Instructions for Boiling Point: Road to Hell



Normal Installation



* Insert the Install DVD into your DVD-ROM drive.

* When the installation screen appears, follow the onscreen instructions



If no installation screen appears



* Close all open programs and windows.

* Double click the My Computer icon on your Windows desktop.(Windows XP users may need to click the start button then select My Computer)

* Double click the game icon.

* Click the Setup.exe icon

* Follow the on-screen instructions.



DirectX Installation Information

* This game requires that DirectX version 9 or newer be installed on your computer prior to playing the game.

* Normally, if this is necessary, it will happen at the end of the installation process automatically.

* If possible, you should always install the latest version of DirectX for your operating system directly from Microsoft. If for some reason you can not do so, we have included DirectX 9 on the install media.

* While DirectX 9 should be able to determine what version of DirectX currently resides on a system and halt the installation if it deems it to be harmful or unnecessary, you should not attempt to install DirectX 9 on a Windows system running a more recent version of DirectX.

Determining your current version of DirectX

* Click Start.

* Click Run.

* In the Open box, type DXDIAG

* If the DirectX Diagnostic Tool launches, you are at least running DirectX 5.0. To see what version, note the bottom line in the System Information box on the first page, DirectX Version. Click Exit in the lower right hand corner of the window when you are finished.

* If you receive an error that starts with Cannot find the file DXDIAG…, then you either do no have DirectX installed or your version of DirectX is older than 5.0 and you must install a newer version of DirectX to run this game.

Installing DirectX from the Boiling Point DVD



* Insert the game disk into your DVD-ROM drive.

* If the options screen loads, exit it.

* Double click on the My Computer icon.

* RIGHT click on the game icon (your DVD ROM drive).

* LEFT click on Open.

* Double click the DirectX folder.

* Double click on the correct folder for your OS.

Error Message: I receive a DirectX 9 error message

After the game has been installed I receive an error message stating “DirectX 9 not found” or “DirectX9 debug file error”



Check your graphic card has enough memory

It is very important that the PC you are running this title on meets minimum specification. Boiling Point: Road to Hell requires a MINIMUM of a 128 MB videocard that supports hardware T&L. Also note Hardware T&L video cards that do not support shaders, such as the Nvidia Geforce 4MX or Intel Extreme Graphics Family are not supported



First determine what type of video card you have. To do this:



* Click Start

* Click Run

* In the box type DXDIAG. Click OK. This will bring up the DirectX Diagnostic Tool

* When the tool finishes loading, click the Display tab.



Here you will see the name of your card and its approx total memory. This figure must be above 64Mb in order to run the game.



Where can I find the CD-Key?

Contrary to what may be seen in the manual there is NO CD-Key

Install the latest patch update for Boiling Point: Road to Hell

This update is available from the Atari website WWW.UK.ATARI.COM



Make sure you have the latest version of Direct X.

This can be found on the DVD itself in a separate folder. Right click the DVD icon in my computer and go to Explore then left click to view the contents of the DVD. Alternatively you can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/directx .



Update DVD-ROM firmware

To update your CD-ROM firmware in Windows:



First determine what type of CD-ROM/DVD you have. To do this:



* Click Start

* Click Run

* In the box type control. Click OK. This will bring up the Control Panel

* Click on the System icon.

* Click the Device Manager tab. If you are running Windows XP, click the Hardware tab, then the Device Manger button.

* Click the + next to DVD/CD-ROM Drives

* Underneath the DVD/CD-ROM Drives is the manufacturer name of your CD-ROM/DVD drive. You may have more than one. To find the latest driver go to the manufacturer's web site. They should have a support section or a firmware section where you can find the firmware for the device listed in the Device Manager.



Follow the instructions on the manufacturer's web site to download and install the latest firmware. If you can't find a firmware update or the manufacturer's site, refer to the documentation that came with the hardware or your computer for support.



Install from a different drive

If your system has multiple ROM drives (or a DVD/DVD-RW etc..), try installing from another drive, then playing from that drive.



Clean the disk

Take a look at the under side of the CD and inspect for any fingerprints, dust, etc. If the CD does look dirty try cleaning via one of the following:

* Use a CD cleaning kit (available at most computer stores)

* Wash it with lukewarm water and mild dish soap solution. Rinse it completely, and then dry it with a soft cotton cloth (or anything that won't scratch the CD or leave debris). Once the CD is dry, try the game again.



Notice: If you do this, Make sure that you do not scratch the CD or put it into your system while still wet or damage may result.



Disable any third party start up applications using MSCONFIG



* Click Start, select 'run'

* In the 'run' field type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) and click OK

* When the System Configuration Utility windows appears put a dot next to

* the 'Selective Startup' option.

* At the bottom of the same screen, take the tick out of 'Load Startup Group Items'

* Click OK and you will be prompted to restart you computer.

* Once the computer has restarted go into the game again and the problem should be resolved.



Remove any CD-burning software installed

Remove programs like Nero Burning Rom, or other system tools like Inseektors, Alchohol 120%, Daemon Tools, or others, you may need to disable any processes the software installs, such as the NeroCheck utility installed with Nero.



Update the video drivers on your system

To update your video drivers in Windows:



First determine what type of video card you have. To do this:



* Click Start

* Click Run

* In the box type DXDIAG. Click OK. This will bring up the DirectX Diagnostic Tool

Disable 3rd party applications running in the background

Background applications can be either closed temporarily or disabled. If they are temporarily closed, they will start again when the computer is restarted. If they are disabled they will need to be manually re-enabled to run them again.



To temporarily close any extra applications and services running in the background in Windows XP:

* Hold down the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys simultaneously on y

Windows XP:

* Hold down the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys simultaneously on your keyboard.

* This will bring up the Task Manager. If it brings up Windows Security, click the Task Manager button.

* Click the Applications tab. This will list programs currently running on your system

* Hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and click each program to highlight it.

* When all the programs are highlighted, hit the End Task button. If you get any messages that state the program is not responding, hit End Task again.

* Now click the Processes tab. Click the bar that says User Name to sort the list.

* Click on any of the processes except EXPLORER and TASKMGR that have your login name in the User Name column. Then click End Process. Click Yes on the Task Manager Warning. Repeat this step to remove all processes that are under your login name except EXPLORER and TASKMGR.



This should temporarily close any conflicting background applications. These applications will start up again when you reboot.



To prevent extra applications and services from loading during startup in Windows XP:

* Click Start then Run

* In the box type MSCONFIG and click OK. This will bring up the System Configuration Utility.

* Click the Startup tab. This displays a list of all non-vital applications and processes that are loaded during startup.

* Click the Disable All button to uncheck these items.

* Click OK. When you are prompted to restart, click Yes



Upon reboot, these applications will not start. Try the game with these disabled. If it works, then one of these programs may be conflicting. Open MSCONFIG using the process above and recheck these programs using the process of elimination to determine the conflicting program.



To undo the above changes:

* Click Start then Run

* In the box type MSCONFIG and click OK. This will bring up the System Configuration Utility.

* On the General tab, click the dot next to Normal Startup

* Click OK. When you are prompted to restart, click Yes



This will restart your computer with all the background applications re-enabled.

Make more hard drive space available

To free up hard drive space in Windows XP first remove any programs that you don't use. To do this:



* Click Start then Control Panel. If you don't see the Control Panel, click Start, Settings then Control Panel

* In the control panel, click Add/Remove Programs. This will show you a list of programs that can be uninstalled and how much space they are using.

* Click any programs that can be removed, the click the Change/Remove button and follow the onscreen prompts. If you are unsure if a program is needed or not, contact the software manufacturer.



Next run XP's Disk Cleanup:



* Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.

* Hold down the Alt key on the keyboard and double-click the hard drive icon.

* On the General tab, click the Disk Cleanup button.

* In Disk Cleanup put a check in the boxes next to Temporary Internet Files, Recycle Bin, and Temporary Files. Make sure other boxes are not checked.

* Click OK. A message will ask you if you want to perform these actions. Click Yes. This will clear out your temporary directories and empty your Recycle Bin.



In program: Poor performance or lockups with 512 MB ram

Set up virtual memory

When playing Boiling Point with the minimum requirement of 512 megabytes of ram, it is recommended that you have a large amount of virtual memory available to improve performance and prevent problems. IMPORTANT NOTE: Make absolutely sure you have at least two gigabytes (GB) of free hard drive space before changing your virtual memory settings or serious problems may occur. To configure your virtual memory



* Right-click on My Computer

* Click Properties

* Click on the Advanced tab

* In the box named Performance click on the Settings button

* Click on the Advanced tab at the top of that page

* Click the Change button

* Place the dot next to Custom Size

* In the Initial Size box, type in 1000

* In the Maximum size box, type in 1500

* Click the Set button.

* Click OK, and OK on the next two windows as well



Once finished, restart your computer and try the game again at that time. We strongly recommend upgrading your physical RAM to one gigabyte or more for optimum performance and stability



On exit: System performance is slow / screen does not immediately resize

As designed

Boiling Point: Road to Hell uses a tremendous amount of system resources, and may take some time to return all available resources to your computer. It is normal for the game to take 15-45 seconds to release all system resources. The amount of time can be decreased by increasing the physical RAM in your computer



Error: I receive an error message about a missing DDRAW.DLL, D3D.DLL, or DSOUND.DLL file.

This is an indication that DirectX was not successfully installed.



Update DirectX on your system

In game: Lockups with a Radeon card on a VIA-based motherboard

Update VIA 4-in-1 Drivers



To verify that you have a VIA chipset:



* Right-click on the My Computer icon

* Select Properties

* Click on Hardware

* Click the Device Manager tab

* Click on the plus next to System Devices.



If any of the devices listed below say Via in them you will want to get the 4 in 1 drivers from Via's web site.



Update ATI video drivers

Updates for your RADEON card can be downloaded from http://www.ati.com



Graphics: Missing text in menus

Make sure your video card meets the program requirements



* Click Start then Run.

* In the box type DXDIAG. Click OK. This will bring up the DirectX Diagnostic Tool

* When the tool finishes loading, click the Display tab.

* There will be a line that says Approx. Total Memory. The amount of video memory your card has. Check this information against the video memory requirements on the System Requirements page.

Ja, Ja, ist ja gut. Vor lauter freude über den Patch hab ich das wohl übersehen.

Musst ja nicht gleich den ganzen thread mit dem Kompletten Text zumüllen, eigentlich wollte ich auch nur wissen, ob das mit den verschwindenden Autos gepatched wurde. Das war der einzige Bug der mich richtig genervt hat.
