Jetzt geht DAS schon wieder los...
Tut aber keiner. HAHAHA.Wenn man Doug Lombardi vom Entwicklerstudio Valve Glauben schenkt,...
Was soll diese Hetze gegen Valve eigentlich? Half-Life 2 ist exakt EINMAL verschoben worden.

Half-Life 2: It's Delayed
7/29/2003 16:32 PST | Half-Life 2 | by Fragmaster
A whole bunch of reliable sources (here's the GameSpyDaily, GameSpot, and GamePro mentions) are saying that Vivendi Universal Games -- Sierra's parent company -- confirmed today that Half-Life 2 won't make its scheduled September 30th release date.[...]
UPDATE: There is a mail (supposedly) from Gabe Newell where he's quoted as saying, "First time I've heard about this," but until we hear an official statement from Valve to the contrary, we're going to believe Vivendi. Given the amount of lead-time required to publish a game like HL2 and everything else we've heard about the game's progress so far, this delay isn't that shocking.
HL2 Delay Aftermath
9/24/2003 9:56 PST | Half-Life 2 | by Fragmaster
[...]When is it coming out? I'm not going speculate on that. As you've probably noticed, trying to estimate release dates is pretty dumb. I hope HL2 comes out this year but... who knows.
One more thing: some people are giving us a hard time about how we didn't post enough "proof" back in July that the game was delayed. Yeehaw, let's kill the messenger! In short, there's nothing we could have posted that Valve would have confirmed[...]
Vivendi Confirms Delay
9/26/2003 15:09 PST | Half-Life 2 | by Fragmaster
This is really just a formality, but Vivendi has confirmed Valve's announcement that Half-Life 2 has been delayed. Technically, Vivendi announced the game was delayed in July... kinda. Whatever, the point is it's delayed, and all those crazy "gone gold" rumors that were flying around yesterday have been officially kiboshed by both Valve and Vivendi.
Gabe Newell (HL2) Interview
10/1/2003 14:28 PST | Half-Life 2 | by redef
The chaps over at GameSpot have an interview with Valve’s Gabe Newell (from ATI's Alcatraz event). Naturally the discussion focuses on Half-Life 2. Check out this snippet:
[...]GS: Everybody wants to know when Half-Life 2 will be in stores. What can you say about the release date?
GN: I hate release dates because no matter how hard we try, we screw them up. We held back talking about our release date going into September 30 because I wanted to have a much clearer idea of what day we were going to ship on.
Right now all we can say is holidays of this year, which to me feels really unfortunate.
Gabe Confirms Half-Life 2 Source Leak
10/2/2003 14:21 PST | Half-Life 2 | by Fragmaster
Valve's Gabe Newell has confirmed the Half-Life 2 source code link in this forum post. Here's what he had to say:
[...]
Yes, the source code that has been posted is the HL-2 source code.[...]
Possible Half-Life 2 Delay
10/7/2003 7:11 PST | Half-Life 2 | by Stewart
I say "possible" delay because it's difficult to judge these days with so many different people having a diffirent tale to tell, but Reuters.com have a news article concerning a Half-Life 2 delay until April next year, due to the stolen code. Here's a snippet:
"A third of the source code was stolen. It's serious because it forces us to delay the launch of the game by at least four months, that is to April 2004."[...]
