Eidos appears to have laid a sneaky bat-trap, for those pesky pirates to trying to enjoy Arkham Asylum without paying.
Apparently the all-important Glide ability gets disabled if you aren’t running a legit version… As a pirate recently found out on the forums.

I’ve got a problem when it’s time to use Batman’s glide in the game. When I hold <Space> , like it’s said to jump from one platform to another, Batman tries to open his wings again and again instead of gliding. So he fels down in a poisoning gas. If somebody could tel me, what should I do there.

The problem you have encountered is a hook in the copy protection, to catch out people who try and download cracked versions of the game for free.
It’s not a bug in the game’s code, it’s a bug in your moral code.

das ist natürlich auch endlos dreist, erst das produkt "klauen", dann aber den Support kostenlos in Anspruch nehmen. da ist diese in der tat sehr coole Reaktion mehr als verständlich.

ja, das ist mir auch schon häufiger aufgefallen, dass gerade in den englischen/amerikanischen, offiziellen Foren zu bestimmten Spielen ganz offen und kackendreist über Raubkopien gesprochen wird.
Und es dauert oft auch ziemlich lange bis sowas gesperrt/gelöscht, der User gebannt wird - falls überhaupt.
Ziemlich seltsam

Ich glaub hier liegt das Problem daran, dass viele Menschen Raubkopien gegenüber absolut nicht sensibilisiert werden.
Wenn zB ein Vater seinem Sohn dauernd schon "gesaugte" Spiele zusteckt, wird dieses Kind das als vollkommen normal ansehen und überhaupt kein unrechts bewusstsein entwickeln.
Durch sowas entstehen dann - für uns komische - Situationen wie in dieser Supportplattform.

Dieser Eidos-Mitarbeiter ist mir sehr sympathisch. Den Kopierschutz find ich auch nett.

ich würde auch noch sagen, das solche Leute auch nicht sonderlich Helle sind, weil ich würde wenn ich mit meinem DNF-Download probleme hätte, ich würde nie im Offiziellen Forum da hilfe suchen

Wenn man unbedingt so Sachen macht, sollte man sich aber auch darüber im Klaren sein
