The Pan European Games Information (PEGI) age rating system has given Half Life 2 an R(18+) rating.This means that minors are unable to purchase the game in numerous countries like Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. What's really interesting about this is how the game fairs in Australia. The Australian Office of Film & Literature Classification (OFLC) has yet to classify Half Life 2, but if the board follows suit from their European counterparts, it'll mean that one of this years highly anticipated titles is banned outright from sales here. Currently, Australia has no R rating for games, so game titles need to meet the highest rating (MA 15+) or they will be refused classification.

Ich glaub irgendwie nicht, dass sich diese Länder alle nach der PEGI richten und diese als verbindliche Alterseinstufung nutzen. Naja gut, ich kann mich auch irren.

Man sieht, dass es immer noch schlimmer kommen kann. Den armen Australiern dürften dann aber recht viele Spiele "entgehen", wenn die "banned outright from sales" werden...

ich habs eben auch gelesen, ist aber noch nicht ganz sicher.
die australier freuen sich übrigens das es steam gibt, weil ein verbot diese

nee tun sie nicht . In Holland (zählt auch wie Belgien zu PEGI) wird auch doom 3 an 10jährige verkauft ...
Wir in Luxemburg ham einfach am besten , da gibts keine Klassifizierung von filme und games, das heisst hier kann jeder jedes spiel kaufen das er will , egal wie brutal ...

Ich glaub irgendwie nicht, dass sich diese Länder alle nach der PEGI richten und diese als verbindliche Alterseinstufung nutzen. Naja gut, ich kann mich auch irren.

Zumindestens ist bei den Spielen die in diesen Ländern verkauft werden dieses PEGI Symbol drauf. Inwiefern das verbindlich ist wird wahrscheinlich in den Ländern einzeln geregelt werden müssen.

Also so viel ich weiss werden die Leute in Australien ziemlich stark überwacht, denn meine Verwandten dort bekommen so gut wie gar keine Nachrichten zu hören oder zu sehen. Die haben dadrüben fast nur Sportsender rund um die Uhr. Deshalb kann es wirklich sein, dass HL2 dort wirklichen verboten werden sein wird. Die gehen glaub ich sogar so weit, dass man das noch nicht einmal importieren darf oder sich aus dem Internet läden kann.Ja, so weit ehe ich mit meiner Vermutung! VOLL KRANK!!!

Vor kurzem hab ich irgendwo gelesen, daß HL2 in Australien eine Freigabe 15+ erhalten hat. Entwarnung also für down under.
